Abstract

This paper discusses the use of patent landscapes as a tool for collecting information and identifying development trends of multispeed hydromechanical transmissions and presents a method of collecting data for patent maps drafting. The main attention is paid to planetary gearboxes, which are widely used in high-power transmissions of tractors and dump trucks, as well as in modern passenger cars. Calculation analysis of the world’s leading transmission manufacturers patent schemes is made.
