Abstract

The article describes concept of creation of amplifying ultrasonic waveguides on the basis of functionally-graded materials with uniform composition, e. g. Cu–Al–Mn alloy with variation of mechanical properties created by means of gradient heat treatment. Method of modelling of such waveguides by means of transfer matrix approach is described. On the basis of comparative analysis advantages of the suggested waveguides relative to their traditionally used analogues are shown.
