Abstract

Specifics of domestic and foreign hydromechanical transmissions for mine trucks and off-road vehicles are analyzed. High-power transmissions are unique components, that contain planetary gearboxes complicated for analysis and synthesis. Gear ratios of such gearboxes are strongly connected. This feature doesn’t allow changing values of gear ratios and their correlations within the same gearbox scheme. Designing of new prospective 6-speed planetary gearboxes with three degrees of freedom is problematic. Domestic manufacturers base their new constructions on well-known solutions or use foreign transmissions according to customer’s requirements. Considered powertrains are divided according to the structure in sequential and parallel. The first ones are characterized by gear ratio with the same step. Parallel schemes may have remote first gear and gear ratios bringing together. Development of deep mines stimulates producing of new hydromechanical transmissions with higher properties in comparison with well-known items. It’s advisable to base analysis of hydromechanical powertrains development trends on patent landscape and estimation of basic indicators. This would be considered in the next part of this paper.
