Abstract

The results of earlier studies are summarized and an evaluation method of the lifetime of metal tanks of fire trucks with regard to mileage and corrosion processes is presented. The above mentioned method combines calculated and statistical approaches and makes it possible to differentially determine the lifetime for fire truck tanks of various metallic materials. Examples of calculating the lifetime of tanks for widespread models of fire trucks are given.
