Abstract A comparative analysis of the results of multicriteria and singlecriterion optimization is conducted with developed tools. It is shown that for the given highway truck the multicriteria problem can be replaced by a one-criterion problem in accordance with criteria of specific productivity, average speed and fuel consumption.
