Abstract Numerical simulation of equal channel angular pressing process was done. Two dimensional and threedimensional statements of the problem were considered. Possibility of usage (for analysis of technological process) in some cases 2D statement instead of 3D statement for the purpose of decrease resource complexity of the problem was demonstrated. It was done on basis of comparison calculation`s results for both cases. Principal attention was spared for kinematics of the process.
